We buy baled flexible polyurethane scrap in all six grades: ether and prime, memory and visco, mattress quilt, molded, regrind and carpet pad, cloth laminate. Full truckloads are what we do most, and 20,000 lbs and up is the normal range. Smaller quantities are worth a call. We pick up anywhere in North America.
We cannot take loose foam. It has to be baled, and that is not our rule, it is how the material moves. Nothing with plastic, metal or Velcro in the bales, because one contaminated bale can put an entire load in question. And nothing stored outside, because foam that has sat in weather is worth nothing to anyone.

If your foam is loose and you have no way to bale it, we cannot send a truck, and neither can anyone else in this trade. That is where most plants stop looking.
It does not have to be where you stop. We know the equipment and we know who sells it. For the right plant, we will supply the baler. If you generate steady material, the equipment can become part of the deal rather than a cost you carry alone.
Call us before you write the scrap off. A plant that starts baling usually finds the material was worth more than the hauling bill it was paying to get rid of it.

Scrap Foam occurs when brand new virgin flexible foam has been fabricated/cut leaving brand new virgin foam that is left over from the fabrication process. This scrap foam is then placed in a baling machine and compacted in order to ship truck load quantities with significant weights.
The majority of Scrap Foam produced and used globally is Ether Scrap Foam sometimes referred to as Prime Scrap Foam. In addition to Ether Scrap Foam other types of Scrap Foam bought and/or sold by Residue National are Visco/Memory Foam, Regrind Scrap, or Scrap Foam that is attached to textile materials such as fabric and/or fiber.
Residue National buys and sells scrap foam predominantly in truck load quantities with material on the trucks/containers weighing an average of 35,000 pounds net. Domestically over the road trucks are used and internationally by ships in containers.
Whether you are Purchasing or Selling Scrap Foam from or to Residue National our logistics department provides white glove service and arranges all the transportation as well as coordinating delivery/pick up appointments.
Residue National weighs each truck twice on Certified Weight Scales. The first time a truck is weighed on certified scales is “empty” (I.e. before scrap foam bales have been loaded on the truck). The second time the truck is weighed on certified scales is “heavy” (I.e. after the same truck has been fully loaded with scrap foam bales). Residue National then takes the heavy weight and subtracts the light weight to determine the Net Weight of the material on board.
Residue National then provides proof of Certified Weights which in turn provides a reliable accounting for the actual material on board for billing purposes.
